Handling accessibility requests and complaints

Everyone has the right to make a request that the website, mobile application or any element thereof be made accessible. You may also request that information be made available through alternative means, such as reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the contents of the film without audio description, etc. Such request should include the data of the person submitting the request, an indication of which website or mobile application it concerns, and the method of contact.

If the person requesting information indicates a need for alternative means of access, they should also specify the preferred method of presenting the information. The public entity should fulfil the request immediately, no later than within 7 days from the submission date the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform the person submitting the request when the request can be fulfilled, but this deadline cannot be longer than two months from the date of the request.

If digital accessibility cannot be ensured, the public entity may offer an alternative means of access to the information. If the public entity refuses to comply with a request to ensure accessibility or provide an alternative means of access to information, the requesting party may lodge a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application, or an element of the website or the mobile application. Once the above procedure has been exhausted, a request may also be made to the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman).

  • the building is accessible through a single entrance from ul. Cukrownicza,
  • in front of the entrance there are stairs without a wheelchair ramp,
  • there are no loudspeakers of an audible guidance system for blind or visually impaired people,
  • the entrance is not secured by security gates,
  • there is no lift in the building,
  • there are no induction loops in the building,
  • there are two parking slots for people with disabilities in front of the building,
  • it is not possible to use services of a sign interpreter on-site or online free of charge.

  • there are three entrances to the building; one from the front of the building, two from the side of the car park,

Solutions adopted:

  • Customer Service Centre and Ticket Sales Point 1 are located on the ground floor of the building without a control area. A three-step staircase and a wheelchair ramp lead to the entrance. From the corridor, there are direct entrances to the Customer Service Centre and Ticket Sales Point 1.
  • the offices are located on the first floor of the building. The entrance through the control area – IDs are issued by the building security staff to allow access to the first floor and lifts. The access to the first floor is possible only by passenger lifts.
  • the lifts and corridors are accessible to wheelchair users.
  • there are no separate parking slots for people with disabilities who have enquiries for ZDiTM.
